Time Final

To me, time represents change, transformation and movement. It is all about a lack of control, as time does and will not stop. It is scary sometimes, exciting at other times. What is interesting, is that time feels relative in certain situations. It often feels rigid, as every second is a specific measurement, but seconds can feel shorter and longer depending on the situation. My image explores a transportation of time and touches on society's impact on young women. In the image, a girl dejected by society's idea of perfection walks though a time portal (aging) to become brainwashed and a product of her insecurities. Additionally, the juxtaposition of the futuristic sky and vintage cityscape with the girl shows a constant evolution of this phenomena – society's ever changing pressure on women.
